Breaking down stereotypes: role models for girls in STEM
Join the NEU, Anne-Marie Imafidon, Founder of Stemettes and Countdown Mathematician and Adesua, a Stemette Society member for the launch of exciting new resources for schools.

The NEU has partnered with a specialist social enterprise called Stemettes to produce resources for schools celebrating diverse women role models in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM). The resources will be aimed at Key Stage 3 and 4.

These resources aim to tackle negative gender stereotypes that hold girls and non-binary students back from choosing STEM subjects.

We invite you to join the NEU and STEMMETTES for a webinar to launch these resources in advance of International Women's Day so they can be used to mark that day in schools.

Chair: Heather McKenzie, Women’s Organising Forum Chair

Speakers include:
• Keynote presentation: Anne-Marie Imafadon, CEO Stemettes
• NEU Equalities Policy – Ros McNeil, AGS Education, Equality Research, & International Department
• Adesua, a Stemette Society member
• Other specialist speakers in STEM
