Sense-checking your whole-school approach to assessment
This webinar for leaders will look at making sure your assessment policies and practices have a clear purpose, process and provide valid data.

The session will cover:
• Making sure your whole-school assessment practices have a clear and defensible purpose
• Making sure the processes of assessment are workable and efficient
• Making sure all assessments provide valid and reliable data on which to act
• Supporting teachers’ marking to ensure it is manageable and meaningful
• Improving feedback to ensure it is motivational and closes the loop
• Ensuring assessment promotes equity and diminishes disadvantage
• Balancing consistency with autonomy

Suitable for: Leadership

This session will be delivered by Matt Bromley. Matt is an education writer and advisor with over twenty years’ experience in teaching and leadership including as a secondary school headteacher and principal, FE college vice principal, and MAT director. He is a public speaker, trainer, and school improvement lead, and a primary school governor. He remains a practising teacher, currently working in secondary, FE and HE settings. Matt writes for various newspapers and magazines, is the author of numerous best-selling books on education, and regularly speaks at national and international conferences and events.
